He basically said, and I think this very interesting, and a valid point, "work for me, but vote for Kerry".

The only leverage we have over the "politics as usual" DNC mainstream Democrats is for them to believe there are enough of us who are willing to bolt, taking our votes with us.

For example, Nader said...and I am paraphrasing now... If a large bloc of minority voters refused to be used as photo ops, and demanded a certain candidate actually visit a minority neighborhood, talk to local officials, ask embarrasing questions and listen to answers about inadequate housing, racial profiling, or whatever, the DNC would have to come knocking and have some answers for them if THE THREAT OF LOSING VOTES was there.

Otherwise, they can continue to take us for granted, like all of the political machines of all time have done.

He does not recommend that anyone vote for him in a swing state, only in safe states (not sure there are any anymore) but demand the Democratic Party get back to it's roots, toss out the greedheads and shysters, DINO's and GOPlites we keep electing.

I think Nader is trying to leave himself an out in case Bush wins again, he can say, hey I told people not to vote for me in swing states, what more do you want?

to get back to its roots and toss a variety of New Democrats and DINOs is an excellent idea. One of the serious reasons I like Howard Dean.

He said "Why not give them a scare" concerning people supporting him and waking up the Democratic Party.

He also said don't vote for him in important swing states (you know like Florida) unless it becomes a three way like the Jessie Ventura situation.

Well here's a wake up call for you Ralph from the Sunshine State...
anything that could make things even remotely close down here gives Jeb an opportunity to steal the election.

Nader should just shut the fuck up, and the media should ignore him when he doesn't.

Since when does Nader give a shit about the Dmocratic Party? Has he ever been a member, participating or not? Has he ever attempted to run for a school board, or anything else, as a Democrat?

He's not keeping the Democratic Party honest. He's either attempting to destroy it or he is completely delusional. Probably a bit of both. If he really wanted to keep the party honest, he'd run for something and try to work from inside it.

But, noooooooo... That would be too much like work.

I never liked Dean much, but Dean is doing it the right way.
