It grossed $49,000 at the Loews Village 7 theater in New York and more than $30,000 at the Lincoln Plaza, breaking the single-day records for both theaters, said Tom Ortenberg, president of Lions Gate Films Releasing.

Let's say Theaters are doing about $20,000 per screen, 868 screens are slotted to show the movie and 3 days for the weekend (Fri, Sat, and Sunday). This movie COULD break $50mill opening weekend. If it tops even $30mil this weekend, Michael Eisner of Disney is going to be in serious trouble with his stockholders for letting a moneymaker like this slip away.

Someone is going to get very rich off of this movie. Maybe not Mel Gibson's Passions rich (let's face it, we're not sick fundies who want to watch a 2 hour gorefest) but enough to make a difference this NOvember

The freepers are doing everything they can to squelch it(they must agree that it's really devastating to their unjust cause)...I hope it backfires ..a zillion fold.
