Is there any song out there that you could listen to over and over...
...and never ever get tired of it.

There is this one song from an Offenbach opera that I absolutely adore!!! Last night I finally found a place to download it off the net and I must have listed to it about 200000000 times (I had my player on continuous play). The song is Belle Nuit and it was also feature in the movie "Life is Beautiful".

Listening to it puts me in such a whimsical mood, like even at this ripe old age of 38 I could still find romance in my heart (and believe me, I'm the least romantic person in the world).

What song could you listen to over and over again?

4. turning japanese
No sex, no drugs, no wine, no women
No fun, no sin, no you, no wonder it's dark
Everyone around me is a total stranger
Everyone avoids me like a psyched lone-ranger
Everyone

That's why I'm turning Japanese
I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so

5. Bonnie and Clyde by Serge, anything by Coltrane
among a few others.
Not songs exactly in the usual sense, but I could listen to the Brandenburg Concertos by Bach over and over and over

also anything Coltrane did starting with Afro-Blue until he died.

11. There are four...
When I am deeply, DEEPLY depressed, I will program the CD player to play one of four songs over and over for hours while I wrap myself in a blanket and rock back and forth, crying...

1. "Rhapsody in Blue," George Gershwin (performed by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Andrew Litton on piano)

2. "American Tune," Paul Simon (sung by Mandy Patinkin, in Yiddish!)

3. "I Found Faith," A.J. Croce (A.J. Croce)

4. "Kiss Me," Matt Slocum (Sixpence None the Richer)

I'm sure those are flameworthy picks, so feel free...

They're a new rock band. I travel around quite a bit and I've only heard them on one station out of Toledo. I really dig the melody in that song and something about the lead singer's voice just turns me on.
