The end of the world, or something silly I just wrote.
The Truth About Creation and the End Times.

Standing under a eucalyptus tree while watering my pansies, a branch suddenly broke off and hit me on the head knocking me unconscious. Before I came to, I had the most extraordinary out-of-the-body experience. First there was an inky darkness and then stars appeared.

The stars began to swirl all in the same clockwise direction like a spiral galaxy and eventually merged together creating a brilliant white light that I could barely stand to look at. A figure approached through the light at first appearing transparent and glowing with a pale neon-like rainbow of brilliant light rays emanating from it.

As it passed through the threshold of blinding whiteness, it came into focus. It was a beautiful being, whose gender I could not determine that reflected light like a brilliant snow crystal. I will refer to this creature from now on as a he. Giant white swanlike wings appeared rising behind his shoulders and extended out as if in flight. It was then I realized that the being did not walk but glided toward me in a slow motion of flight.

“Hail,” the creature said to me as he alit next to me kneeling down on one knee. He brushed his gold and silver garments aside and folded his wings.

I was stunned and could not answer.

“Stand up Cleita,” he ordered and extended his hand to me lifting me to my feet.

I basked in his brilliance and the warmth he exuded.

“Am I dead?” I asked. “Are you my guardian angel?”

“Aye, I am something like that,” the angel replied. “It’s not your time yet, but I’m taking the opportunity created by your accident to give you a message for mankind from us here on the other side.”

“You wish me to be a messenger?” I shook as I spoke, “like a prophet?”

“Something like that,” he answered. “You see Cleita, it’s been a few thousand years since the universal lords have shown themselves to anyone who is still on the material plane of existence. And quite frankly humanity is getting things all wrong.”

“Oh, dear,” I said. “I never believed in a supreme being or heaven and hell. You mean I was all wrong?”

“No the angel,” replied, his rays of brilliance almost blinding me. His melodious voice sounded like the wind chimes hanging on one of my trees.

“Actually, I don’t know how to put this,” he floated about me as if pacing.

“We have been putting this revelation off for a millennium,” he hemmed and hawed. “Eh, we didn’t know how humanity would take it, since we had told that little fib about the one Supreme Being.”

He smiled broadly but he also looked unsure and inquisitive.

“Fib?” I asked.

“You see”, he said. “When mankind didn’t have science yet, we had to reach humanity in a way that they could understand, so the committee cooked up some stories about creation and a few rules that humans could understand and sat back hoping that they would at least obey enough of them to keep from killing each other before they ascended to the next level of knowledge.”

“I don’t know what you’re getting at?” I replied, “What committee?”

“The Creation and Destruction of the Universe Committee,” his voice trailed off on the last word spoken.

“God is a Committee!” The realization sunk into me with a thud.

“Sorry,” the angel blushed in radiant pinks and rose-colored glows surrounding his beatific face, “that I had to put it into such klutzy words. I think though it can explain why things do go wrong. Even though some of us want to end all war, others of us see war as a cure for overpopulation. Like all committees we have differences of opinion and of how to accomplish our goals.”

“We came together,” he continued, “at the creation and we were formed from chaos. Like chaos we bring different ideas to the table, many of them in direct contradiction to others. So what I need you to do, Cleita, is to tell mankind that they must do what they need to do to save themselves and future generations from annihilation because frankly, we have our own rules to follow and they often are not in your best interests.”

With that his brilliance faded into the sun. I found myself on the ground with the dog licking my face.

“Oh my”, I said to the dog, “I have to tell the world, we are on our own. We have to make our own destiny. How will I get anyone to listen?”

The dog barked as a cat crossed her path and she went off running after it without a care that the end of the world could happen if her human companions didn’t work out a solution to not ending the world.

And so my friends what are we going to do?

1. The way things are going--------------
we may as well do what the airlines suggest, in an emergency. Put your head down between your knees, and figuratively "kiss your ass, good bye".

2. I would say we need to advance
social brains to catch up with our technology.

It seems we have progressed greatly in the past few hundred years on the technology side but we have not matured in our social side.

We need a balance or one side gets too far ahead.

We can build stuff that can wipe out humanity but we still dont understand how to live together .

just my 2 cents
