What did you think, where did you stay, etc?

I went for the 1st time in 1997, very laid back, there were tourists (mainly locals, French & Japanese, though), but the infrastructure was still relatively undeveloped & they hadn't built the new airport terminal yet . . . . just the old one with the ominous sounding 'formalities room'.

I went back in early 2002 & things had developed a good bit . . .

the 'you say you buy from me, but you no buy from me' kids were still there last time, but the powers that be seemed to be giving them a harder time.
