It's true that there are a lot of girls who like to date assholes. There are also a lot of girls who are intelligent, funny and attractive who don't go for that type of guy, but often sit home because the "hot" girls seem to be the only ones who get asked out. I think sometimes people have their standards too high, especially when it comes to looks. This goes both ways, not just for guys. I'm not saying that's the case for you, I'm just speaking generally, from what I've observed in life. It can be hard to find someone. Most people go through long dry spells, especially right before they find "the one".

I love nice guys. I married a nice guy. My friends all like nice guys...we exist, I promise.

The problem I see, however, is that there tends to be a group of nice guys who go after women who don't appreciate them. It's annoying to hear a guy say "why do girls always like assholes?" This is a misplaced question. You shouldn't ask yourself "why do girls like assholes?", but instead, ask yourself "why do I like girls who like assholes?"

If you're a nice guy, then go after the nice girls who like nice guys. You can't ask why the person you're interested in is interested in assholes if she's an asshole too. That's just silly.

They might be cute or hot or have wondrously filled silicone breasts, but they're also all shallow cunts who will make you sick (if you are intelligent at all) in a few days. If you want them for sex, treat 'em like shit and they'll have sex with ya. And if you have a "cool" car, all the easier to score.

But the nice guys always win, because they'll find one of the good women, who aren't shallow shrewish bitches, and once you find one, Oh, Man, life is goooooooooooood. It might take you a longer time to find one than your idiot high-school football neighbor, but while your idiot high-school football playing neighbor is growing fat from inactivity and working as some third-tier broker in some shitwater small town while his formerly hot wife is screwing everything that moves because a) she's a shrew, and b) your neighbor has always overcompensated for his flacid penis and his delusions of grandeur, put upon him by his failed sports-hero dad who also worked as some shit third-tier businessman in a slimy little insurance office in shitwater, America, have been utterly shattered as he realizes that a high school career as a major asshole dick and a sports hero doesn't mean shit to the people who actually run the world - and while your idiot high school sports hero neighbor is dealing with all that crap, you've found a wife who's an amazing thinker, doing her own thing, having a career of her own and providing incredible conversation and amazing sex because it's love-based, not body/lust-based, and your kids will totally rock because you are comfortable with who you are, and she is comfortable with who she is, and you're both comfortable with who each other are, so your kids pick up on that and know that you will never push them to succeed where you failed but would rather that they find their own joy and pursue it and that you will support them totally in it and life will be happy, blissful, and fulfilling. And no, you may never be able to go the high school reunion with a trophy wife, but you will go to the reunion with a wife who truly loves you and you truly love, and you will laugh and have fun together there, and annoy all the failed shitiots who persecuted you in high school, and you will go home happy and feeling great about life because you didn't end up as a failure with some shrewish shallow bitch as a wife, but waited to find someone who was truly worth you.

I'll always remember in one of Feyman's books, he talks about dating after his wife died. He was a very nice guy, and couldn't get a date. So he said that he started being an asshole to women, treating them poorly, and had incredible "success" with women with lots of sex.

I addressed it in another thread.

When I was a younger man, I treated women abominably, and I never had a problem getting dates and/or sex. In the last 12 years, I have never lied to or used a woman, and I get walked on like a rug.

And the sports heroes from my high school? Mostly having crappy lives.

Bwuhahahahahaha! Though I do feel sorry for them, because I think for manyh of them, their biggest problem was a) their fathers, and b) their inability to assert themselves against their fathers and/or societal "norms".

But I come from a small community that, for the most part, came pretty close to worshipping the sports kids and casting scorn on the "weird" kids who excelled in school and were actually interested in learning and following their interests.
