4. That is what they were threatening. |
|
I think I might have gotten the better deal if I had kept my money & given them my brain.

10. What a great feeling. |
|
It took me 10 years, two full-time jobs, and countless calls from ruthless collectors, but I polished off mine too.
Woo hoo!

14. The really scary thing is I didn't go to college until I was older. |
|
Well, I was 26 when I started. That seems really young from 40.

16. I was just joking about how long it takes to pay those damn things off! |
|
Or so I've heard. I couldn't even get one when I was in college ('83-'87), so I worked full time as a bartender and my parents helped me as much as they could. I'm amazed I managed. The way tuition has skyrocketed, there's no way I could do it now.

Mine won't be paid until 2024. It's the 20+ year plan.

Congratulations on paying 'em off, and let me be the first to offer you the opportunity to begin paying off my loans as well. It'd be really appreciated.

I worked two jobs and went without a car so I wouldn't have to get a loan. You're lucky.
