2. I've always had a thing for Uranus,
Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 06:32 PM by HypnoToad
but that's just me.

In seriousness, I like Earth the best. Saturn has rings, but they make crap cars. Earth's got a proper atmosphere... let's hope we don't wreck it with pollution or nukes...

3. Uranus is the only planet that rotates on its side...
and it has rings too, although only Saturn's rings are famous.

Definitely Uranus is the coolest!

4. Had to vote for Earth
because it has that wacky element called life. Plus it has active volcanoes, oceans and a functioning atmosphere. It's a rarity in our solar system.

The coolest looking planet (from a distance) is Jupiter, although Saturn is pretty nifty too.

15. The gaseous planets (Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune) have atmosphere
It's just so thick, we would be crushed if we ever desceneded deep enough into it.

8. Now, if you want to get technical about it,
Pluto is the coolest planet in terms of temperature.

But it's definitely not the coolest in terms of attitude. It's just not laid-back enough. Pluto's too fuckin' uptight.

10. What about that "mystery" pseudo-planet?
Ya know, the one named after the Inuit goddess? I can't for the life of me remember what it was called.

12. It May be a Passing Fancy, but
given my current avatar I have to vote for Mars. Massive evidence of surface water, blueberries, nannobacteria -- lots of stuff going on there.

16. I protest! Moons not included in survey!
But I will go with the Pluto-Charon double planet system just because a planet having a center of rotation outside its own body is too neat.

Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 07:16 PM by Tripper11
I recall reading something about Pluto a while back, maybe a year.

Museum Suggests Pluto Not a Planet

Pluto may be stripped of planetary status
