Horrible day at home today.
My mom and dad are fighting with each other, my brother is fighting with my mom and dad, and my mom kicked my brother out of the house. I don't want to get into details. I just need a place to hide out at for awhile.

Sorry about the venting.

1. You're Not Venting
You're hiding. Big difference.

I hope it gets better.

I grew up in a loud, parents always fighting kind of house too. It sucks some days. Just hold on til you can go to college or get out on your own, things will get better!

3. I am on my own...just not during the summer.
I'm living here because I had no where else to go. Sometimes I hate being here. :grr: :scared:

5. Go for a walk?
Hang with friends? Find an apt. to share for next summer? I remember thinking that all I wanted to be was OUT of there. You WILL get through it, but removing yourself for an hour or two will help a bit.

9. Maybe next summer
You can get a bunch of friends and each put in a small amount of money to rent a place. A crowded house can be fun if everyone is happy. Sharing meals, playing card games, listening to music.

4. Sorry.
It sucks when the people you love are fighting. It's stressful as hell and makes your gut hurt. I remember many days like that when I lived at home years ago. Even if I wasn't directly involved, I hated the anger and hurt flying around the house.
 Here's a vitual hug - you probably need it...

6. Man, that sucks
I remember when I was in high school people telling me those were the best years of my life. If I hadn't known better, I would have ended it all right there.

Get out of there as soon as you can, and if any of them show up at your place and can't behave like reasonable, sane people, tell them to go home.

8. go for a walk. . .
breathe in the air. . .enjoy the early summer. . .contemplate the early blooms. . .you'll feel better and most likely return with the perfect humorous one liners to elucidate their absurdity. . .actually I've no idea where you live or whether or not there is a good place to walk. . .just an option though.

Be safe and, not to minimize, know we all have our discordant familial situations from time to time.

Just don't buy into the bullshit.

all the best to you

10. pat yourself on the back too for knowing that you want a different
direction for yourself! I'm serious, it seems like no big deal, but it actually is--your awareness and choice to stay out of it creates better outcomes for you--even if it doesn't seem that way now.

hang in!

11. agreed!
don't loose the lesson in this. you have the power to change the direction of your life and not to become what you don't like about your family.

and it's ok to still love someone even if you don't agree with their actions.

hang in there!
