Anyone ever had problems with an Ebay seller?
What is the process of lodging a complaint against a seller with Ebay?

1. Did you leave feedback?
I discovered that unless you leave feedback within (I think) 30 days, you can't.

I think there's an appeals process, but I don't think it does much good. But do leave feedback so others don't get burned.

3. What is your complaint? Here was mine.
I paid for a package with PayPal. It was delivered by one of those incompetent delivery services - FedEx or UPS - that simply dumps packages at the front of the house. Said delivery was promptly stolen while I was asleep. I simply reported that the delivery wasn't accomplished and my PayPay payment was refunded.

(SInce them, I always ask that the delivery be made by USPS Priority Mail when possible. That's either locked up safely in my mailbox or parcel box, or held at the post office. Failing that, always ask for a tracking number, and require signature - it means you have to pick it up at those FedEx/UPS offices that are twenty miles out of town and hidden in an industrial court with no sign and rats the size of Dobermans prowling the parking lot, but at least it's held there.)

On the other hand, I purchased software that the person claimed was legit, but was actually a ripoff copy with a bad registration number. I never got my money back for that, but then, I bought it through Yahoo Auctions, not eBay. And the person who sold it has apparently gone out of business, or moved on to something more legit, like selling handguns to school children.

problem. Am I missing something here? I think thats what I read anyway. Based on that experience I would give the seller a pos. or neutral feedback at worst. I have had much worse than what you are talking about.

6. Well...
I got my delivery but the contents of the package was all broken. I sent it back to them for replacement and so far I have gotten nothing but the run around.

4. my son, a very frequent buyer/seller on ebay, had problems
that eventually were resolved, but it took several weeks. He uses the Pay Pal service and I think that was helpful in the resolution.
