Poll question: Favorite hardcore song title
These are all actual. That's what you get from a music genre mainly liked by crazy teens to 20 somethings (band in parantheses)

2. you're old school I see
however here's one rule for song titles: long always = better

another one I should've mentioned: I Used To Hate Cell Phones, Now I Hate Car Accidents (Norma Jean)

5. your confusing hardcore raver music
with hardcore punk. a common misconception i've seen on other boards, and of course people who just think hardcore = loud (ie crap like Slipknot)

Edited on Tue Aug-26-03 01:11 AM by Rowdyboy
that's not bad! Give me a break...I'm old and my mind is fading....

on edit: BTW, I love the song in all its variations (I think there like 5 versions of the same song on the cd). Its a trip and my partner liked it initially so it seems to be here (in our house, anyway) to stay...

9. "My Stereo Has Mono, And So Does My Girlfriend " based on name
Edited on Tue Aug-26-03 12:17 AM by Ein
On musical merit, and name. "Paradigm Shift" by Candiria, the only hardcore band I can listen to on a regular basis. Thier talent (especially the DRUMMER!) is seconded to none, and thier shows blast ass!

edit: Crap just saw the first post with some bands I considered Punk on it.

Revision: Best name = "Jesus Was a Terrorist" by DK, or "Hitler was a Sensitive Man" by Anal Cunt

18. "Jesus Was a Terrorist" was Jello with NoMeansNo, not the DK's
though it sounds a lot like a DK's song...

Jesus was a terrorist
Enemy of the state
That's what the Romans labeled him
So he was put to death

He died for his beliefs
What's changed today?

Today bible-thumping cannibals
Reap money from his name
Buy cable networks & power
With old ladies' checks

If Jesus saw Pat Robertson
What do you think he'd say?

Tax-free they re-write our laws
And sick 'em on you
Women don't control their bodies
TV preachers do

Censor everything from bathing suits
To science books
From the schoolroom to the bedroom
They want our thoughts - or else

They treat us like the Romans
Used to treat the Christians
Even some churchgoing folks are scared

Modern catacombs of fear
Built with money, power and threats
Rock'n'roll is labeled porn
Sell a record, you're under arrest

Instead of fighting AIDS
They try to stop us having sex
They brag that they won't quit
Til they take dominion over our lives

Is freedom of speech such a terrorist act
Is spiritual peace such a satanic threat
Believe what you want
But we'll fight to keep
Out heads from being cemented in your sand.
