and with NO bribe or quid pro quo. Conceivably, there MAY be one or two people on this earth that I might hesitate over. I'm a committed LEFTIST because of my kinship with Humanity, rather than any delusions of Machoism. I think most on this board would be of a like mind. AND, having prowled Freeperland more than a few times, I think there may be a surprising number there who would feel the same way.

I don't want to sound unfriendly this early in the morning (12:45am Seattle time), but I find this type of rhetorical questions a little irritating (as well as inappropriate at DU). I also suspect that (secretly perhaps) you also feel the same way that I do.

this wasnt a serious question really. the point of the thread was that most people would be loathe to drain another person's blister. however, if it were really gigantic, or infected, AND beyond arm's reach of (insert name), I suppose I might think about it, party affiliation notwithstanding.

and I didn't really take it to be a serious question. But I'm seeing a lot of these "tough-guy" hypothetical questions (here but mainly on my union BBS), and they're starting to irritate me. I see a startling CONTEMPT for one's fellow humans, underlying this machoist posturing. I'm dealing at present (on my union BBS), with a few who view the prison torture pictures through the eyes of Limbag.

Sorry for expressing my opinion. Did I REALLY put this thread to sleep? Doesn't say much for it's presumed "toughness".
