...got me thinking about sexual orientation and birth order. I don't believe orientation is the result of environment; however, the idea that one's birth order might have some effect on genetics is intriguing.

Let's find out where we all fall on the scale.

(Sorry to give the short shrift to the bisexual folks again, but these bloody polls only allow for 10 questions.)

18. Both of my sons were born

by Cesarian, and I think they're both hetero. They're young still (20 and 16) and I'm open to the possibility that they're not "fixed" in their sexuality, although they've never shown any interest in guys, for what that's worth. :)

Because I have two younger half brothers I was kinda getting a little confused. But I decided to go with the family that I have always known in order to answer this poll. Because I have hardly had any true contact with my dad and two brothers, and don't really consider them family anyway. (But you know all this *scratching my head*) Is that ok? LOL

10. Just an observation

from a hetero middle of six -- I've known lots of gay men, lesbian women, and they seem to have been all over the birth order place. I sincerely doubt birth order matters. Other than its usual influence on us.

but another poster reminded me...

i was at a gay party once, everyone having a great time. someone mentioned that they were a caesarian birth.

someone else immediately chimed in, "me, too".

i also was a caesarian birth.

we went around the room and about half "claimed" to have been caesarian births.

it made me wonder.....

but unusual case. My younger sister is nearly 11 years younger and was utterly unexpected. Thus for most of my formative years I was a de facto youngest child.
