They are, as Rolling Stone tells us, "America's Favorite Fantasy"!
Have to admit, I've kinda shared in that fantasy, and the fact that I now know just how fresh their breath is going to be only adds to the fantasy!!! :spank:

8. This annoys me a bit

I posted this in LBN because it is current. Although a couple of hours out of the 12 hour limit, it shows exactly what America thinks is "news" on Wednesday, August 27. To move it to the lounge is exactly the opposite of the point I was trying to make when I posted it in LBN in the first place. It just doesn't have quite the same impact here as it does when placed next to the serious news of the day, which is again, what America thinks the Olsen story is.

Now, go ahead and tell me that this post belongs in Ask the Administrators about polices etc. No, I don't want an answer.

11. In context of LBN

it was posted as a political statement, my political statement as to the mind of the average American. I even said to lock it because I knew it didn't deserve alot of commentary, but I just hate that they deleted the message which was the point of putting the post in LBN; '7th most viewed story of the day'. Whatever, I'll just have to 'get over it'.

With a subject heading of "What the News Media Thinks is News on Aug. 26, '04" it might have stayed. But presented straightforward, it would be viewed as lounge material.

13. You can't post that way in LBN

Besides the title of the article says it all. the 7th most viewed article of the day, August 27, is 'Olsen Twins Fight Plaque'. People see that title and think it's worthy news and view it. It's absurd. The fact of it says more than a news article reporting the absurdity ever could.
