Has Hollywood so run out of original ideas that they're beginning to remake stuff that's already been remade?! With all the books out there worthy of being turned into movies; can't be that hard to dig up new ideas.

At this rate I'm expecting to see "Facts Of Life" and 'Joanie Loves Chachie"(sic) remakes.

But if someone of the right political party and outlook remade this movie right now....

I think I'd set it in Flordia...back in 2000. I can hear the narrator start to tell the story of how everything started going wrong in a little place called Miami-dade. Opening shots reveal the unkempt apartment of a certain Katherine Harris...who is currently being turning into a pod-person in her bed.
