1. I have to admit
That they rule for having a hit song about having a quickie in the afternoon and still looking so whitebread while doing it.

9. That song was about a quickie in the afternoon?!
And all these years I thought it was about a fireworks display :-)

7. Reminds me of a good joke.
When Jerry Garcia died he found himself in a beautiful recording studio. Looking around he sees Hendricks, Janis Joplin, Pigpen, and many other wonder musician friends who had already passed. "I must be in heaven." he saids with awe. The others saddly shake their heads and look up as Karen Carpenter walks in the room. "Ok guys, one more time with feeling, Close to you."

16. Reminds ME of Another Joke
Shortly after Jerry Garcia died, there was a moderate earthquake in Southern California. Jay Leno talked about it in his monologue - he said that what everyone felt was not an earthquake - that Jerry Garcia had just gotten in to Heaven, and told Elvis that his daughter (Lisa Marie) had just married Michael Jackson.

10. They Won in 1976 for "Best New Group"
Perhaps that category should be changed to "Has-Been Of The Future"..........

12. So did Air Supply (1980) and Milli Vanilli (1989)

Winning the Best New Artist Grammy has often been a sure indicator of a short-lived chart career.

13. Hold on.... Air Supply were a long-term, international mega-seller
Sure, they sucked major ass, but they were (and still are) gigantic in sales.

They had seven straight Top Five singles in the 80's. Single that sold over 2,000,000 copies, IOW, big time.

However, they're first int'l exposure came in the late 1970's when a major star had them open for him on his world tour.

That man? Rod effing Stewart.

15. I like Air Supply
I admit its cheesy as hell, but as someone who enjoys cheesy pop music, I think Air Supply is pretty good. In terms of pop music, it's hell of a lot better than anything put out by Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, or any other really crappy pop act in recent years.
