Who am I? (for music buffs)
1. I was born in 1944 in Mississippi. My first top 40 hit was in 1967. It was about a crime. Who am I?

2. I was born in 1945 in Paterson, NJ but was raised in Hawaii. I appeared on Broadway in a famous musical. I was also nominated for an Academy Award. My first top 40 hit was in 1973. Who am I?

3. I was born in 1948 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. I am a singer/songwriter, musician, producer and engineer. I worked with Meat Loaf and I am know for banging my drums. Who am I?

On edit: No - that was the 50's. Geeez, had to be a country star since lots were in prison - maybe Merle or David Allen Coe.
