Carp jumping into boats in Missouri!
ST. LOUIS -- Crazy carp have invaded Missouri's rivers.

Two species of nonnative carp have been jumping into boats, injuring occupants and damaging the watercraft.

A state fisheries biologist motoring near Columbia had a filling knocked out of his tooth by a high-flying fish that struck him on the side of the head. Another state biologist in the St. Charles area was seriously hurt when he was hit by a giant carp. <snip>

1. They jump into you boat, pick you pocket, then jump back into the water.
Then they pass your billfold around from fish to fish, so you can't retrieve it.

Yes, indeed, it's ... carp to carp walleting.

Those nasty fish also make deep holes in earthen dams. Surely you've heard of ... Carp'll Tunnel Syndrome.

Compared to this, we should worry about a chipped tooth? Hey, quit your carping!

2. Have the carp been investigated for Al Qaeda links?

I'm sure someone at Guantanamo can be "persuaded" to confess that Agent bin Laden (CIA, sabbatical) made a special effort to recruit Jihad Carp, especially for use in Missouri.

4. One man's trash fish...
Carp are considered junk fish by most Americans, but boy are they fun to catch.

Europeans are big into carp fishing, There's a guy who makes his living doing guided carp fishing trips
in the Ozarks for European visitors who just love the virgin carp waters and the fact that our carp are not
"hook smart".

Not a bad job if you ask me.

6. "Dad, make the boat go fast
I wanna see the fish jump!" "OK Son, put on that helmet Mom sent for ya."

``The sound of a propeller under water makes these fish go crazy,'' Todd said. ``The fish don't jump if you're sitting there without the motor on, but the higher the RPMs, the greater the noise, the higher these fish jump.''

Wow this is weird.
