I loved everything about the new DU except the way the authors of the replies were laid out. It was so hard (for me anyway) to pick out names, which made it hard to follow the thread. I liked it the old way better and now it's set up that way again. Thank you!

Oh, please, sex scenes, forget about it. Even the semi-comical sex scenes on Sex and the City are driving me nuts!! And of course, I'm constantly doing editing jobs for slash (written porn), which just gets my motor revved up and nowhere to go with it! It's a big ole' mess over here, believe me. :)

You edit porn?! Wow! I've often thought of writing a soft porn novel. Just for fun. I'll have to keep you in mind if I ever get around to it. That's gotta be tough under the circumstances. I know what you mean though, I flip through the HBO channels late at night and try not to glimpse any of that lame porn but it's all over the place.

I COULD just go to the bars and pick someone out and get it over with, lol. But I was hoping for something a bit more...meaningful.

I edit fan fiction of all varieties--but slash is what I get the most of. :) I do it gratis, just to keep me sharp for when I get back to school. It's not that hard to get to beta-read for someone, actually. But I get repeat business because I'm a damn good line-editor! That means I edit for grammar, spelling, mechanics, punctuation, etc--not for content. It's fun and kind of zen and it keeps me sharp--and it means I get to read the new stuff before it's published! :) If you ever write that porn novel, I want first crack at it! ;-) (no pun intended, lol.)
