Thanks DU Family for helping me get through a tough time
I am still very depressed about my teeth being taken out and I am so appreciative about how you guys helped me through this tough time.

You don't know how much you guys helped me and I don't know what I would have done without you.

I might have died that night if I didn't go to the hospital and I need to thank you for that.

I don't have much right now but I do have my friends on this website.

I am also going to go back to College next week and I will finally be able to get off of Disability after being on it for over 8 years.

Thanks guys for being here for me!

BTW I just looked in the mirror and I look like the women in the Movie Dentist and I have been crying for about one hour.

5. believe me corarose, I would feel the same way
but as my dear deceased mother used to say, "time heals all wounds". As I told you before, she had dentures when she was in her 30's. She was a beautiful woman and loved very much. You'll heal too, physically and emotionally. Good luck in school! You have so much to look forward to. I'll be thinking of you and wishing you the best. :-)

6. Once you get your dentures you are going to look at that nice white smile
and feel entirely different. It will be a new you and you will get used to it.

In the meantime, how were our food suggestions going for you? Are you taking in enough calories? That is important to build your immune system back up...BTW peanutbutter is a GREAT source of protein.

We are a community...and we DO care.

I am glad you could feel the love when you needed it most.

Regards,
T

8. This is so right!
Two years ago I was told that due to periodontal problems that I had little choice but to get dentures. I was a wreck daily when they first pulled them but now people say that I don't stop smiling. They look REAL good - so good in fact that my mother cries when I smile ('cause I never had decent teeth). Now I have straight, white, beautiful teeth! Of course, it's also nice after a long day to pull them things out for a rest! And no need for toothpicks, just pull 'em out and rinse as needed, lol. :7

Now when I look in the mirror at night I see my grandpop looking back...and laugh my ass off!

Hang in there honey, there's lots of us rooting for you!

It really wont be long now. I have two teeth that I have to have looked at. Your posts might have helped me, because I am reminded of what can happen if you don't take care of them.
So thank you for sharing your troubles with us. I am proud to share a web site with someone who is working to make her life better. don't you worry anymore. Life is beautiful.

12. Good luck next week corarose. You are gonna do GREAT!!! You
know it. The mouth is a temporary thing. You'll will be able to look at yourself in the mirror real soon and like what you see. The really neat thing here at DU, is that we don't see what's on the outside, and everyone I have gotten to know is beautiful to me in one way or another. Chin up baby, and knock em dead in school!!!;)

13. I can't wait for that first smile when you get your dentures
Think of the advantages:
A perfect bite without the discomfort of braces.
Cool white teeth.
No mean hygentists jabbing holes in your gums and tut-tutting. over the fact that you didn't floss one night last week.
And most of all - no more toothaches and a much healthier corarose. Keep smiling kiddo. Time will pass very quickly and we'll all be here when you get down. We love you. cmd
