I discovered it recently. Now I can listen to stuff like Skid Row, Warrant, Alice Cooper, Journey, GNR, etc... any time I want.

1. I love

Shoutcast. Easiest to use IR portal, imho. Great stuff like RadioParadise, Dogtown Saloon, KPIG (archives only now, but still great), and genres I'd never heard of or previously would have cared for like psytrance on Philosomatika (get your stomp on!).

Plus you can do searches easily and find things like Frank Zappa, and even an all Rush station (the group, not that "big fat idiot") . Lordy, that one takes me back.

Happy listening. And no, it's not pathetic.... What's pathetic is our regular radio stations have been taken over by a very few companies and the dreck that they play 24/7!

2. Yeah, it's a nice alternative

to my local area where ClearChannel rules all things media. Fuck that. I'm really enjoying listening to the more eclectic (sp?) stuff. It's great to tune in to some of these college stations too. Foreign radio is wild too. French Techno??? Ohh, Lita Ford's on now. I guess I'm going through some kind of 80s hair metal thing right now. It's been a long time since I've heard some of this stuff. Reminds me of high school. LOL!!!!
