Church Uses Water Park Wave Pool For Baptisms

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- There was more than fun and sun at a Texas water park Sunday.

The splashing and wave riding stopped as 54 people from the Colonial Baptist Church were baptized.

Church members, families and friends gathered around the Castaway Cove wave pool to watch.

Ministers from the Wichita Falls-area church say the water park baptisms seemed natural as their congregation continues to grow.

The baptisms were performed as the sun was setting.

They only did indoor baptisms in the winter. The covered bridge is now a Historical Sight with a little park there. It was nice of them to do that in my honor :)
