Scam? 1001 dollars in travel dollars toward a Disney Vacation!

A friend of ours just "won" this prize by being the xxxxx visitor to a website. Help me use the right words to explain that this, if not an outright scam, is at the very least a timewaster. Please feel free to post other scam experiences - or, if possible, happy stories.

I have tried a few of the usual debunking sites but had no luck.

1. Good ways to explain it...

Keep going back to the site over and over and show that you are always a "WINNER" every single time....(how many millionth visitors can there be?)

Simply explain than on the internet the following rules always stand:

You did not win anything, qualify for a free anything, and are not pre-approved for anything.

There's no 10 milion dollars in Nigeria for you.

There's no pill to take that will make you lose 50 pounds sitting on your ass all day drowning your sorrows in a bucket of chicken.

There's no such thing as something free that assks for a credit card number.. what the hell is that? Do they think we're total idiots? If you ask for a credit card number it obviously ain't free.

I'm trying to be gentle - they are fairly new to the internet - I wan tthem to be more cautious, but also need them to understand that nothing good is going to come to your door and give you stuff without some major hitch.
