Microsoft Applications question.
I now run Microsoft Office XP on my PC. I also have Office 2000 and 97. I'd like to use Powerpoint in the 2000 suite and Access in the 97 suite.

Is there anyway to load in these modules without bringing in the other applications?

1. Yes, both are available as stand-alone applications
But they're expensive - the new licence-system for Office 2003 will be more reasonable for private and/or educational users.

3. Well, I could use the Powerpoint in MS Office 2000 and Access
In MS Office 97. But I don't want to load all 3 versions of Office to get at these applications. I was hoping I could pull the Application module for the 2 programs off the CD and run them under XP.

4. You can load individual apps
during the install process...

Just do the "Custom Install" when installing the suite.
Select the Apps from whatever flavour of Office you want

The only thing that I can see that would come up and bite you in the ass is the all too familiar "DLL Hell" i.e. does Office XP overwrite Office 2K/97 dlls and if so, what effect does that have?

Good Luck!

5. I think I have the solution....
I'll load both Apps on my 120 Gig External Drive. When I need the App, I load them from there....

That should work....I think.
