9. it was an honest answer with a joke built in
I liked your question (primarily because it hasn't been asked a hundred times before).

I am very geared to hearing, and I pay more attention (get aroused) to sounds than to visual stuff. In addition, 'aural' is pronouced 'oral', which relates to speech (the other half of hearing) and to another route by which I get aroused.

My throw-away comment, "So to speak." just cemented the joke. Or so I thought.

12. I did, I did!
I always mean something else. Several somethings else, if I can work them in.

13. oh good,
your earlier post made me think that you just had 2 meanings of aural (hearing and oral "speech").

But you had all 3 in mind.... :spank:

6. Verbal
I always learned information by words. I was puzzled when teachers asked if I had a photographic memory when I did well on tests since I do not remember anything by sight that can easily be explained by language. I have more of a tape recorded memory. I get most turned on also by reading or hearing words. I usually do not feel the need to visualize things when I read because I usually can feel them just by words.

7. I'm a visual thinker and learner.
I've never thought about what turns on the emotions. Music. Words. Spoken or read. People's faces. Smells, except that I can't smell them any more. And tactile sensations. I don't know which I would categorize as "most!"

10. once upon a time...
...there was a political discussion board. But it was more than just a political discussion board. The people who founded it were angry about a particular incident, and they collected others who were equally angry about that occurrence. But then, a funny thing happened. It turned out that the people most offended by this incident had other things in common. Soon, they were talking about the oddest things -- not just politics and the injustice of the event. They talked about their children and their families and their hopes and dreams and troubles. They even talked about yaks.

Time passed. The fall of 2004 came, and all that talk, translated into action, and these charitable, funny, peculiar, annoying people changed the world.

The End
