My old HORRIBLE high school football team won 43-6 tonight!!!!
I'm in college right now (far away from home), but I saw the score on the Minneapolis Star Tribune site. Lemme tell you: My team (I played for them and worked on the staff for four years) lost 38 games in a row from 1993 to 1997. The team's combined record in the past 10 seasons was 13-80. We won only two conference games in the past FOUR YEARS. The team hasn't had a winning season since 1975. We were 9-29 overall in the past four years. And to see that final score just brought a gleam in my eye.

St. Louis Park (Minn.) - 43
St. Francis (Minn.) - 6

This is AWESOME.

5. I didn't catch the Blaine score, but Wayzata almost lost to Totino-Grace.
Ya know, Wayzata. The 3,000-student rich kids school that always wins championships in every sport.

SLP is a hockey school, anyway.

4. Wow...
y'all were as bad as my high school. My 4 years of high school our football team won 4 games - including one year when they went 0 and 10. Ouch. It was horrific.

Now, of course, they're really good and have even made it really deep into the TX state playoffs.

*sigh*

6. My high school team
Was so bad, I don't remember a single home game won, and I went to all of them my 4 years of high school because I was in marching band. I normally carried a book inside my shaker to read in the stands because seeing the guys get trounced every week got to be boring. I pissed off the lead trumpet player when I was a freshman. While in the stands, he said we were going to play the fight song every time we scored a touchdown. I asked if we had the night off then. He also didn't appreciate my suggestion of playing "Send in the Clowns" for when the basketball team took the court. What was funny (and I didn't realize it WAS funny until after I had graduated) was that Mike and the Mechanic's "All I Need Is a Miracle" was part of our regular basketball band set.

They did like my suggestion for a band motto though - "Music without Mercy."

I didn't have school spirit. I just liked playing the trumpet.

7. Never went to a high school game in my life
a local team "De La Salle" Spartans hasn't lost in years and are the number one rated in the nation. I feel real sorry for these guys when they run into real life. Anyway, they practice and train all summer long. A Catholic school.
