"Barbershop" Actor Charged With Rape

Comic actor Anthony Anderson is facing some dead-serious accusations.

The portly star of Barbershop and Kangaroo Jack was charged Wednesday with aggravated rape for an alleged assault on an extra on the set of his latest movie, Hustle & Flow, authorities in Memphis, Tennessee, said.

Wayne Witherspoon, said to be the film's assistant director, was hit with the same charge.

Anderson, 33, and Witherspoon, 42, are scheduled to be arraigned 9 a.m. (ET) Thursday in a Memphis court.

In a statement from his publicist Wednesday, Anderson said he "absolutely denies the heinous charges that have been made against him."

Apparently someone else on the set overheard her screaming and interrupted them, which allowed the woman to run away naked and screaming.

Plus the original complaint alledges that the two men were taking pictures of her vagina with their fingers in it. If they can find the film, it should be fairly easy to determine whether she was a willing participant who's now looking for money, or whether she's a genuine rape victim.
