message?
Every now and again this message comes up on my screen. It looks important, but it doesn't seem to be interfering with computer operations as far as I can tell. I won't use the actual numbers (I'll use an "X" instead) in case that would provide information that should be kept private. The message says:
An exception 0E has occurred at XXXX:XXXXXXXX in VxD LT Modem (01) + XXXXXXXX. This was called from XXXX:XXXXXXXX in VxD LT Modem (01) + XXXXXXXX. It may be possible to continue normally.
* Press any key to attempt to continue * Press CTRL + ALT + DEL to restart your computer. You will lose any unsaved information in all applications
I just press any key and continue usually. But what is the message trying to tell me?

1. Sounds Like a Problem with your Modem drivers to mee |
|
VXD is usually virtual device. LT Modem is the device it's referring to.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the modem MAY fix this.
Before you do that, I suggest downloading and running both Adaware and Spybot Search & Destroy (both are easily found doing a Google search). Run them both (along with a virus scan) to make sure there are no nasty hidden programs running that you might not know about.
Then uninstall and reinstall your modem drivers/software. This will probably fix the problem (no guarantees, but it most likely will).

What you seem to have happening is an error in your modem driver. It could be something to do with a conflict with another piece of software, or the modem driver itself may have been corrupted somehow. Try re-installing the modem.
On edit: Damn! Too slow :-)
