3. I think if you start driving into the swamp...
There's a big Miccosukee tribe casino on 41 on the west edge of town. Then there's always the horse and Jai-alai places.

Jai-alai is a weird game from Spain that's a cross between handball and lacrosse, featuring very fast balls (150-180 mph), and of course, gambling.

Hurricanes....you are ready to don your "gad abouts" and go out into Miami nightlife. I'm sure...you will get many reccomendations from DU'er's/Fla. about the best night spots.

Did you stock up on water/campstoves/boric acid/roach motels/exterminators....and they whole panopoly of reccomendations you got?

Gambling.......I wish you well, Carlos.........even millions won at the "tables or slots" won't help you when you get home and face the "enemy." But, I give you credit for trying to divert your attention from the "hellish weather, roaches and hard luck of your apartment.

There's a better world out there......I believe it.....If you win at the tables maybe we can all visit you in your new "digs."

On Edit: Jeeze why do I spell recommendations as reccomendations.....Brain warp........sorry!

What is the next question going to be? I certainly hope we won't soon be reading a thread asking if anyone knows of some good whorehouses in Miami! ;-)

They have a web site.

The "casino" does look boring. Looks like they might have a nice golf course, people gamble on the golf course.

A thousand pull tab machines, bingo and lucky lotto. Games on the reservation vary by state.

My local indian "casino" across the state line has an otb. They tried blackjack, but got raided by the feds.

Stupid state and federal laws about indian gaming should be changed and the tribes should be allowed to offer any game offered in vegas.

Surprised that carlos is a gambler.

on edit: typo harpy

22. We've got gambling ships here in Port Canaveral
along with all the cruise ships and got two Disney ships that sail to their own island....The Gambling Casinos' are called The Sterling and The Sun Cruz' and they probably have those two down in Ft. Lauderdale or Miami.

I forget the name of the place but you can see it in Ft. Lauderdale the spiral lounge that's high up & moves slowly circular viewing all of the area you are in, at night it's breath taking.
