2. Bering Strait!
Not a duo but they do have two women who front them. Nice stuff. Bluegrass meets the balalaika ;-). Being half Russian myself it has some appeal to me. Especially the songs that are sung in Russian. Reminds me of grandma ;-) . You can hear them here:

3. I Saw the 60 Minutes Spot On Them
I can't stand Nashville corporate music, but I went out and bought the disc solely for "Porushka-Paranya."

What a great rendition!

6. Yeah! That's the one that got my attention
I even dragged my mom into my computer room to listen to it. A friend sent me the download. She's full Russian. She loved it.

7. I love T.A,T.U
Whether or not they are genuine lesbians or not, I think that "All the Things She Said" is a very powerful song. Although it is is very pertainent to young lesbians, I feel that it is also pertainent to anyone in or considering a contraversial relationship (interracial, interfaith, interclass, age difference, etc. be it romantic or Platonic) . I almost feel that it is like if Romeo and Juliet definantly showed their love to each other. I also like their other songs and have listened to their cd literally hundreds of times.

9. I think All the Things that You Said is a great pop song
I agree with you, it's powerful. Perfectly expresses a certain kind of forbidden love. They sing it so well, too.
