32 days after arriving in AZ...
I got a temp job - a decent assignment with the accounting department of Indian Health Services in Winslow, AZ - yes THAT Winslow. :-)

Seattle, where?

6. you know it!
I have a timer on the coffeemaker! I am setting it for 5:30 to be safe. The commute is 50 miles each way, but I-40 on that stretch is empty, so very very very different than i-5 in Seattle, lol.

Standing on the corner... *hums*

4. heat?
Average temp where I live is 75-80 this time of year - cooler than the 85 it has been in my old neighborhood up in the northwest. :-)

I live in the coolest place in AZ, literally and figuratively. :D

7. Rub it in, Coffee Coyote,
it was 105 today here in Phoenix!!!

I had a chance to go to Flag tomorrow for work, but not able to work it into my schedule. I would love to be there and enjoy those 80 degree temps!

8. Welcome to AZ, Coffee Coyote!
We moved here ten years ago from, are you ready? Minnesota! You are lucky to have cool temps in Winslow. In Scottsdale it runs about 105 degrees and cools to the 80's but the way we feel about it is; if you can't stand the heat, don't move to the valley!!!

9. Standing on a corner?
When you drive to work you will probably see Meteor Crater in the distance. (Starman was filmed there, although the restaurant they ate at in the movie is a Mobil station now)

12. Way to go!!!
That drive isn't so bad. You can amuse yourself with the Indian Trading stand signs. I forget his name; something like Chief Yellow Horse, has about a hundred advertisement signs for his roadside trading stand on that stretch.

And then there's "Standing on the Corner Park" when you get there :-)

Good luck!
