Need help in pronouncing Italian name.
OK all you smart, multi-lingual people, how do you pronounce
Iuliano?

ee-yule-leeyahno?
yule-ee-ahno?
yule-ee-aye-no?

Thanks.

1. well...
sort of a cross between the first two.

technically, it'd be "ee-yule-ee-ah-no, but in common use would be "shortened" to "yule-ee-ah-no" You could put a small glottal stop at the beginning.

2. Your first one looks correct.
But of course, I applying my knowledge of Spanish to Italian. Since they are very similar, I think I am right! :D

6. I'd say "yule-YAH-no"
But I think in standard Italian, every vowel gets a syllable.

12. Not necessarily but just know that Sicilian versus Italian IS a sticking
point for Sicilians....we're fussy about it :D.

11. Thanks guys
Knew I could count on you. This is kind of important. Has to do with a job interview and I want to get it right. Never heard it, just read it.
I think I'll start with yule-yah-no and then ask him.
