Poll question: Which type of celeb are you most attracted to?
I'd say actresses. I like these soap actresses alone: Sharon Case, Aubrey Dollar, Heather Tom (not as pretty as the others but went up when I heard she's a Democrat), Lindsey McKeon, Erin Hershey Presley, Kelly Monaco, Jessica Dunphy (yes, she's of legal age,) Eva Longoria (too bad she left the show,) Farah Fath, Ashley Jones (again, too bad she left,) Jennifer Finnigan.

6. I don't agree - too general IMO
Though some of the popular ones are made fun of properly by Brad Paisley's song "Celebrity."

23. Yeah, probably my medication level dropping this afternoon
First I slammed NPR and now this...

Damn.

Anyway, let me re-phrase that.

Anyone who CRAVES the attention of the camera, and has to have it to keep doing what they do, which is leech off society in general, in other words, a true celebrity. Someone who is known for their name and face alone, is, to me, scum.

Now, celebrities who have talent, and just happen to be caught up in the photo ops when they are in town are a different story all together. (Newman/Woodward come to mind, Malcovich and others, I am sure)

I'd put in the second category...but it's just that the whole celebrity "gloss" that spreads over even deserving people bugs me. But I guess they can't help it

7. OK, this will date me but...."Malcolm's" Mom
Jane, whose last Polish name I will butcher if I try to spell it. She is my idea of sexy. She gives me a hell of a buzz. (We're talking "Malcolm In the Middle," in case you didn't know.) OK, OK, she and her husband are bumbling idiots, but once in a while they look at each other like.... and then they give the kids some ridiculous assignment and aren't seen for a couple of hours...at this stage of life, that's a fine sex fantasy....

11. Brandon Boyd is so hot
I went to the Lollapalooza concert when it was in Milwaukee with my husband and my best friend (male). I had not seen Incubus in concert before and was suddenly stricken by him. I have never felt so attracted to a guy that I was watching from afar so instantly. My husband was upset that I looked at every Incubus sight possible the next day. My best friend thought that my crush was funny and told everyone at work that Incubus was now my favorite band. He also found a catalog where I could order a life size picture of him, but I haven't ordered it yet.

but i have to tell you -- when it comes to looking at sexy guys -- i'm shallow.
i love eye candy.
so this week with the u.s. open on -- i'm lusting after andy roddick{a.k.a. A. ROD}, leyton hewitt, mark phillipousis -- to name a few.
movie stars -- a little different -- there's sexy fluff and serious meat. and depends on who i'm seeing at the movies.

25. None.
No reaction to them one way or the other.

What attracts me to people is ((who)) I see underneath the surface stuff. Never see enough with a celeb to be attracted, even if I pay
attention. Which I usually don't; I'm generally oblivious.

Nope, I'm not a trekkie, but I'd love to have a long conversation with Ursula LeGuin, Robert Silverburg, or Neal Stephenson.

And, of course, the late, great Isaac Asimov was my personal hero.

28. I even forgot soap actress Lauren Woodland
Edited on Thu Sep-04-03 10:41 AM by mvd
That's how much I'm into just SOAP actresses. If I listed ALL actresses, the list would definitely be longer.

Also might be putting Kirsten Storms in the list soon - she likes the Dixie Chicks, as does Farah Fath. Farah's bio said she goes to church regularly, but as we saw on my religious services board, that's not necessarily a negative.

32. Sorry
I fought hard against my urge to respond to this thread with a Michelle Branch picture, but just couldn't stop myself. :-)

(Oh yeah, I stole that pic from Ebay; hopefully I'm not infringing any copyrights!)

Michelle is probably the only real celebrity "crush" I've had... silly as I know it is. Generally I suppose I do factor in, to the degree that I could ever know it, the personality of the celebrity and this often tends to lower my opinion of them. (Not with Michelle, obviously... haha) Of course, there are plenty of famous women I find attractive; probably the largest number of which would have to be actresses.
