Need some computer help, please (simple stuff I think)
Okay, I'm at a loss here. I've never before tried to put a picture in one of my posts but I want to do it now. It's a digital picture that I took a few months ago. So, how do I insert it into my post?

I feel so insufferably ignorant right about now.... *sigh*

1. it needs to be hosted somewhere
needs to sit on a server. you have to upload it to a host and then paste the URL of the pic in your post.

does that make sense?

3. Why, yes it does.
I guess I'll go to Yahoo now and see if I can still get into the Geocities web photo page I started eons ago to post some pictures when I was doing the internet dating thing.

Thanks.

6. Keep in mind that the picture has to be sized
correctly or it will be so big it can't all be seen on one screen. The server I'm using has a photo size limit of 150 kb but that is too big to post. It probably also has to be in jpg format. Your graphics program can size the picture for you. I experimented with doing this a couple of weeks ago. It's not difficult.

7. If you have an ISP...
and not posting from work, school, library, etc. they generally give you at least 10 megs of free webspace.

More than enough for a few pix.

5. Besides, Geocities doesn't allow remote linking (n/t)
