Football is Back Tonight! Woooohooooo!
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/6610951

Now, I just want to say this. I know things don't look good for the Jets, BUT - what an amazing story it would be if Vinnie pulled it off. This is probably this guys last chance to ever do anything in the league, he only needs 442 yards to pass 40K.

If Vinnie can stage a comeback, and get the Jets off to fast start, it's the kind of story that just swells your heart.

So Good Luck Vinnie and the Jets! I'm pulling for you!

8. did you know Vinnie has a color blindness?
was a big deal when they found that out in TB when he was with the buc. felt it explained his propensity to throw ball to wrong team.

vinnies just gotta hold the fort for a few weeks. but really, when pennington took over last year, it was clear vinnie was getting old.

vinnie has been a fave player of mine coz he always seemed to take his lumps w/o blaming others.

9. Is that why he has problems in the red zone
Did you also know that his father had heart problems and he used to watch Vinnie's games on tape delay because he got too excited watching?

Sadly, his dad has since passed away.

Yeah, when Pennington took over last year, it was a little bittersweet, but it was time. And both players handled it with tremendous grace.

But I heard Pennington is going to be out for like 12 weeks. I don't get it, it's not his throwing arm.

11. penningtons' is an especailly nasty injury.
Edited on Thu Sep-04-03 06:22 PM by KG
a break and a dislocation. pretty severe.

they gave vinnie a special type contact lens that corrected the color blindness.

btw - rob johnson is the 'skins back-up QB. i got all my fingers and toes crossed he don't have to play.
