Shoot, I'm impressed bs could speak in public without a rehearsal first. The 'fact' that she supports the shrub only further indicates how STUPID she is. But, we knew that, didn't we?

1. I don't give a %@*&#! what any "celebrity" says |
|
Never have, never will. They should all just shut up and do art. A young pop singer trying to make an intelligent political commentary is like an amateur comic trying to pull off a joke about Adolf Hitler.

|
just because they are famous . Britney is a teen ager with a teen agers outlook on life She is also an idiot (unlike teen DUers who are some smart kids !)
but she has a right to speak.
I wouldn't know her if she knocked on my door I do not waste time on teen idols !!

on the other hand, I wish 13 year olds could because my nephew is very aware of the BFEE situation. He is especially concerned about the troops in the ME.

in this case its a good thing kids don't vote, I wouldnt mind seeing the legal age for that rolled back a little bit maybe 16, I was pretty passionate about politics then.

5. I know she supported the war, but.. |
|
haven't seen anything where she's a big Bush supporter. I saw where she's so politically unaware that she votes on the basis of how her parents vote. They are PROBABLY Republicans - but I'm not sure.
I don't usually care about celeb views. I do when they are like Toby Keith and Darryl Worley. You won't see me going to the extremes freepers did with the Dixie Chicks, though.

7. She would have been better off telling the truth. |
|
That she doesn't know the difference between a Republican and a Democrat, couldn't tell you who the VP is and doesn't give a crap because it doesn't affect her life. That I would have had some respect for.

|
She had her little stage-lesbo act with Madonna, now she starts talking all politicky. Please, its still all shite.

9. Britney isn't a neocon |
|
I imagine she isn't bright enough to form opinions beyond "I just want to like express myself" and "I think the beach is like pretty and stuff". She was damned however she answered that question. She would likely have given the same answer if Clinton was president. It shows an inability to think, not a conservative streak. Granted that's possibly a more problematic societal issue, but let's realize that Britney is just dumb. She's not a neocon. Let's not reverse Dixie Chick her.

Still, with this type of thinking, I could see her not objecting to voting for Bush in 2004.

I'm sure after that the corporate pop stars all got a good lecture from their labels to stay on the company line.
