I'm taking a week off

From politics that is. I need a rest. Between the Shrimp Boat Liars to the RNC, I figure it's a good time. MSNBC,FAUX and CNN have been blocked out of my TV lineup. I won't be visiting any political websites, specifically those who deal with polls, the electoral college etc. I will hang out in the Lounge and not stray into GD.

Anybody else ever have the need to become willfully ignorant of all things around you for a week or so to recharge their batteries?

6. Well part of the reason was that I was moving back the USA

from Europe ( Germany ) where I lived for 3 years ... hard will and determination , no Political channels ( because I know they are just spreading lies ) , did not have my European newspapers to read and then I gave myself a break from the internet in general . Just returned to politics a couple of weeks ago . Had to settle back in slowly , I admit it took me some weeks to get use to America again .

4. I'll post on DU, but I will NOT watch one minute of the Rethug shindig...

I just know that it'll make my blood boil and I'll feel sick with anger. Don't need it.

Maybe I'll hang in the DU Lounge in the evenings until the shit-storm of lies blows over, in time for Labor Day weekend.
