Max Cleland Stole my table and there was a yellowjacket in my greens
Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 11:46 AM by mondo joe
Some years ago I was visiting in laws in Atlanta.

My partner and I were eating out at the Horseradish Grill, which is a very fine restaurant.

Unfortunately we had a streak of bad luck. First off, a very bad waiter. Second, a discovered a (dead) yellowjacket in my greens - I very discreetly pointed this out to the waiter who acted as if I put it there.

Then the hostess came over and told us that Max Cleland was coming in and our table was the only wheelchair accessible one, so would we mind moving to the bar. I guess after the yellowjacket they decided we were a lost cause anyway.

At the time I was like "Who the fuck is Max Cleland?" but of course now I'm honored to have given up my table for him.

I still hate that waiter though.

1. Atlanta is Georgia Tech country.
EVERYBODY gets a yellow jacket in their salads. It's tradition.

The waiter was pissed that you were being a hater.

3. I probably foiled an assassination attempt on Cleland
Looking back on things the yellowjacket was probably a Republican plot to get Cleland - a plot I foiled by getting his seat. That's why the waiter was such a jerk.

Either that or he watched Victor Victoria too many times.
