What did Freepers listen to when they were young?
Edited on Thu Sep-04-03 01:32 PM by ButterflyBlood
since it all left-wing/peacenik music back then. do they now hate the music of their youth? something tells me they wouldn't like what i listen to of course, Fugazi for example doesn't exactly have much Freeper appeal. (note: This year Ian McKaye was speaking at war protest right outside the State of the Union while it was going on)

There were also the Osmond Brothers at the time--before Donnie joined his sister for their act! :eyes:

And for older Freepers--well, THEY had Lawrence Welk!:D

10. Only a small percentage of the music back then was left-wing/peacenik...

compared to the overall music offering - but rock/pop music has always been about liberalism.

I also hear rightwingers (and a few leftys, too) picking up on the catch phrases born from the music or lifestyles they seem to hate.

Whazzup? (for example)

Clear channel's WKLS in Atlanta (I call it freeper rock since the jocks can be so rightwing in what they say) use liners that say "Kickin' the flava in the A-T-L!"

bwahahahahahaha!

16. Lee Greenwood
Pat Boone? Amy Grant, when she was still a pure and virginal Christian singer as compared to an eeeevil divorcee and homewrecker? Charlie Daniels? Metallica? That composer who wrote stuff for Hitler?

I think you need to first define the brand of freeper, and then you'll find their music.
