I'm going to my first job interview in what seems like ages
It's tomorrow and I'm getting the jitters. I can't sleep.

It's as an assitant editor for a feature produced in Toronto and I would love to land this thing. This summer was especially bad because of the SARS scare, Canada's refusal to back the US on the war and the climbing Canadian dollar, it made for a really bad season.

I was working in LA the past four years but near the start of 2001 after the criminals robbed the economy I had no choice but to leave.

Even though Canada's economy has been doing better than the US, the film industry here is inextricably linked to Los Angeles, who haven't yet gotten to speed yet. Last I heard they have only added 1/3 jobs compared to it's greatest peak just before 2000, since the time I left.

Anyway, I'm starting to get called by interesting people and this job interview tomorrow specifically is something I would love to get because I can start to get my feet warm for bigger things and hopefully generate some more activity in LA.

Hopefully those calls are a sign that things are picking up, and I hope for that to happen for all of you as well. I have you in my thoughts, wish me luck!

2. Walk into that interview.................
like you already have the job. Confidence (but not cockiness) goes a long way in closing the deal, IMO. I wish you the best. Let us know how you fared.
