No shit - bears HATE that odor (so do I). We used to carry a sealed bag of them when backpacking in grizzly country, and spread them around the campsite. Kept the moths away too.

7. We've had a bear visiting our house for the last several nights.

The first night, it knocked over a trash can with a 50 pound bag of sunflower seeds in it. We just put it back upright, thinking it was probably a dog.

The next night, it knocked over the trash can again, and dragged the bag about 200 feet away, so we retrieved it and put it inside the house.

The following night, it tore down Mrs. Smith's bird feeders and smashed them to bits to get to the seed. It bent the steel support poles like pretzels.

The night after that, it tore down her humming bird feeders and licked out all the syrup.

Obviously, bears have no respect for private property.
