1. oh come on.....
certainly someone else here uses ebay as a nice little way to suppliment our dwindling incomes....

and the greatest part about it is that you don't have to count your earnings on your tax returns, nor do you get taxed for them :)

I have sold books on Ebay. Haven't this summer, but will start up again when its too cold to be outside a lot. YOu're right, its fairly easy tax free money. I have over 500 transactions and maybe had 5 bad ones, even made a few friends. Lately I just buy.

great combination of stuff, by the way!

3. come buy my stuff ha ha ha
we sell books too, mainly.

WE go to alot of book fairs and book sales. Also my husband works for a newspaper and they get alot of books for review that aren't reviewed, and every 3 months or so, there's a "book grab" where all the promo stuff is set out in the lunch room and you can take whatever, and how much ever, you want!

We've gotten alot of sealed DVD's and CD's and VHS movies that are just like you'd find in the video store, only they're sent to the paper for review.

Sealed DVD's can go for ALOT!! And it's especially a tidy profit when you didn't pay anything for the items to begin with :)

But as I said, we go to alot of book sales and stuff, and we love reading, but sometimes we're over-zealous in our bookbuying and get stuff that we THOUGHT was interesting, but never end up reading.

So we sell it on ebay, make a tidy profit, and clear off our bookshelves in anticipation for the NEXT book sale :)

4. I have in the past

The best run I had was when a friend gave me several Poodle books .
(his mother used to be a breeder of the nasty little brutes)
They were titles like "care and feeding, poodle registry,...etc.
I put 'em up at a buck a piece and watched while several of them were bid up to the 75~ 100 dollar range.

6. I just sold some CD
by some guy I've never even HEARD of for over $6----I think I started it off at 50 cents or a dollar.....

The price people pay for things that clutter my house and I'd be more than happy to give away... :)

13. I totally understand
I only posted my auctions b/c I guess I got the items for free, or virtually free, so I'm not losing anythign but the listing fees if they don't sell, and it just so happens I have alot of crapola crowding up my house right now.....two months from now I may have nothing (that is, if everything sells )

Good luck in your ebaying, though!

It's such fun---it's almost (almost) as addicting as DU! I love checking my auctions and seeing
1) and item bid on
2) new feedback.

It's so exciting.....like gambling :)
