Poll question: Favorite song by THE DELLS?

Now here's a group that oldies radio completely ignores. Why? It's not like they didn't have hits. Hell, two of their songs made the pop top ten. But when was the last time you heard a Dells song on oldies radio? If your local station sucks as badly as mine, the answer is, "Never."

Well, the Dells were and are a fantastic group with many excellent recordings that span 35 years. Let's see how many DUers share my high opinion of the five guys from Harvey, Illinois.

3. Well, "Stay in My Corner" came out a year after

I was married so it doesn't feature in my teenage slow dance memories. . . "Oh What a Night" does.

Another fave is "In the Still of the Night"
(and the back-up singers chant "Shut up and show me how") :evilgrin:

4. "In the Still of the Nite" was *not* by the Dells

You're probably thinking of "Oh What A Night," which came out the same year (1956). "In the Still of the Nite" is by the Five Satins of New Haven, Connecticut.
