life really sucks--ask me anything
in the golden era--between reagan and bush* II--everything was going my way. reagan ruined my life (if you lived in michigan under reagan, you know what i'm talking about--"last person out of michigan, please turn off the lights.")

eventually, i escaped my exile from texas (where the jobs were).

while clinton was prez, i finally got my college education. wow, me! i'm degreed! (tech degreed, mind you.) i got a kick-a** high (really high!) paying job. all my dreams had come true.

so, here i am, sitting in this f**ked up economy. goddam 'pubs are still ruining my life. i can't "buy a job" as the saying goes.

i know i am not the only one, and i know i am not the only left one. anyone who doesn't see that a republican administration does not bring home the bacon...

well, anyway, ask me anything! ;-)

1. My family was killed here in Michigan during Reagan's reign.
We moved here from Wisconsin because my father worked for Schlitz and Stroh's bought them out. Then Stroh's let their white collar crew go in '89. I was 20 at the time, but I remember watching my dad suffer, lose his house, his cars, his pride...bit by bit. He is still paying back taxes to the IRS on his cashed in pension, and other things. Funny thing, Reagan doesn't even remember now how he screwed us all.

I don't have a question, just a commiseration.

2. i guess if MI
had not been the focus for unions, michigan would not have been so hard hit by reagan.

i'm not green (except in my heart) but micheal moore never fails to reach me because he grew up in michigan when i did. whatever his vote at the end of the day, he knows what happened here during the reagan years.

let's rejoice that detroit and it's dem vote carries. we have the most wonderful senators!

i hope they lift the "foreign born" restrictions so that jennifer granholm can be prez!
