The Sun Devils are in trouble
they need to really step it up on defense if they want to have chance. Immediately NAU completed a pass downfield and got a touchdown completion to Clarence Moore 4 minutes into the game. Atleast we got a touchdown before the quarter ended but blantly missed the XP. The NAU were at the 3 yardline ready to score a touchdown but we were lucky that R.J. Oliver got a 100 yard interception return which tied a school record to put us up 13-7. We eventually won 34-14 against a Double A team. We should of blown them out 40-3 or something like that, but no we give up 2 touchdowns, 21 first downs, and 321 passing yards. We had a good rush defense but we need to step it up in the pass defense game. But we have absolutely no problems on offense, Loren Wade is only a freshman and he did great!!! :toast: also Andrew Walter threw for 4 touchdowns 15/24 complitions and 222 passing yards. But atleast we didn't do as bad as Arizona which they lost to LSU 59-13!!!!!

1. I agree...
...and what was that going for the TD on 4th and 4 from the 4? Take the 3 points and move on!

Just think, if NAU had made those 2 field goals, the game would have been alot closer than it was.

I agree that their secondary has to perform better or else it is going to be a very long season for them.

4. It is nice to see another Sun Devils fan on DU
:hi: What did you think of all the penalties? It seemed like everytime the Sun Devils got a good play on defense there was a penalty. Also, what did you think of their new unis? I thought they looked nice.

5. Was it just rust?
I was keeping tabs on that score...took a while for ASU to get going. A lot of penalties are common for a first game, too.

You guys have another tune up before Iowa, no need to panic yet. Get the kinks worked out against Utah St.

As for Arizona, I saw parts of that game. They are horrible. John Mackovic will get fired by Halloween. He was doing the drill seargant bit on the sidelines again.
