Crystal Light alternatives?
I've enjoyed this product, even though it's $3.50 for 6 little tubs; each of which makes 2 quarts. (58 cents each) It's quite a bit more pricey than kool-aid but at least it's tasty without the sugar.

But the price has gone up to $4.50. At 75 cents per 2 quarts, I'm much better off sleazing down to Walmart to buy the generic diet Sprite knock-off which is 58 cents. I get a container for the liquid to be in, too. And you know I don't want to go to walmart...

What's the cost of sugar substitute?

Or should I stick to water?

Or kool-aid without any sugar sweet substance? It'll probably taste weird, but that's no problem! :D

Thanks!

1. Make sun-tea

with decaf tea bags, if you don't want the caffeine. A little lemon juice and some Equal or Splenda to sweeten. Or there are "store-brand" knockoffs of Crystal Lite that are cheaper.

My near BIL introduced me to a double-chocolate diet soda, made by Polar. Unfortunately, it's not for sale in my part of the country.

On edit: Sorry, you asked for the price of sugar subs. I don't know off-hand--I can get big boxes of the stuff from BJ's for a reasonable amount, but I don't remember at the moment what the cost is.

2. Wyler's Lite
Tastes MUCH better than Crystal Light and it costs around $1.99 for a container of 6 (2 qt) packets. It's the only thing I drink these days and I have always refused to drink ANY diet beverage. But, oh my, this stuff tastes gooood. Comes in Raspberry, Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, and Iced Tea. The tea is my fave
