I just discovered him, and he's great. Bonus, I found out he's coming to my area in October for a show! Anybody else know who I'm talking about? What are your opinions, I am curious. :)

4. I think he's very good

A little better than John Mayer, who I like but has a voice that's a little too sleepy for my taste. Gavin has 70s influences like Elton John, but he adds some folk and some crunch, too. Nice style. And, his voice is very strong. Gavin might not be at the level of Elton at his heydey yet, but he has a lot of potential.

I am really hoping I can go to his concert. It's with Maroon 5 (they've had some radio play, I think) which I suppose is fine, and it's only 12 bucks! :)

Did I tell you I got to see Hanson August 15th at Northern Lights (albany, new york) on their acoustic tour? They have an acoustic album out right now on their website, hanson.net. It's really good, I bought it at the show. It's a no frills, acoustic guitar, album- only 8 songs, very folksy.

Anyway, Hanson recommended Maroon 5 in one of their updates but I downloaded some of their stuff and can't get into them that well. Gavin DeGraw and Maroon 5 are coming to the same venue I saw Hanson at, which reminded me of that.
