When they say "size 42" for men's shirts/vests/coats, what do they mean?
Chest size?

I suppose a size 42 vest is too large then. :D

4. No, it'll fit....
I HATED getting shirts that were "tailored"...So It's bee an 18 1/2-36. would fit my neck, the sleeves fell properly, the shoulders didn't bind....

Could NOT get it buttoned over my gut...

A little loose in the shoulders is OK, just so you can button it, because nothing is more tacky than an unfastened waistcoat.
