I am using Hershey's syrup because I like it on ice cream, and since the syrup outlasts the ice cream, I HAVE to use the surplus in milk. It does have the solubility advantage.

But! I used to use powdered chocolate Quik as a kid, and regular Rich Chocolate Ovaltine as as adult, in between syrup.

I did try the strawberry Quik many mnay years ago, and liked it, but chocolate won my heart.
