Poll question: Another bathroom question.... |

So, public bathrooms: powersquat or seat covers (those little paper things)?

Do you carry a bottle of isopropyl alcohol around to disinfect your ass afterwards?

5. I think it's more hype than anything.... |
|
I don't recall ever hearing about major illness outbreaks that would have been prevented by toilet seat covers.
I suspect it's a psychological comfort and possibly aesthetically pleasing, but I don't know that they really do much of anything.

6. You didn't hear about the outbreak of butt cancer |
|
a few years ago? ;-) No, as long as the seat LOOKS clean I don't sweat it.

4. Exactly. The human skin is a REMARKABLY tough surface, designed to |
|
withstand germs, disease, bacteria.
While those nice little paper covers make you feel better, they actually serve no purpose. Your skin is the best protective lining out there...

...do so many women pee on the toilet seat? Even when there are seat covers. I will never understand.

10. A thin piece of paper... |
|
isn't going to keep you from getting something. If you sit right, a toilet seat isn't going to hurt you. Besides, most STDs die after being out in the air for 45-90 minutes. And it's your butt people...do you realize the gross stuff that comes out of that end anyway? I have no fear...I've been sitting on toilets for years...I haven't gotten anything. And I need to get some spray disinfectant in those little bottles to carry in my bag...that's a GREAT idea. Duckie

12. I know, I hate the squatters who pee on the seat and don't wipe up. |
|
But I do use toilet seats most of the time, but the times I don't I make sure it looks clean in an emergency.

13. you power squaters are a pain in the butt |
|
Clean the damn seat after yourselves, because I am sitting on it. For the really picky you can always carry around alcohol wipes to clean the seat.
